Mark Michaels, Guitar and Vocals
Mark Michaels has enjoyed a long career as a Boston area guitarist. Educated at Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory, Mark has appeared with jazz greats George Russell, Jaki Byard, and Gil Evans, along with noted keyboardist and composer Rachel Z and vibraphonist Steve Nelson.
Mark has also worked with many New England area bands covering a wide range of musical styles, including Hypnotic Clambake, Blueswagon, Paul Comb's Pocket Big Band, and Manchuka, to name a few. In addition, Mark traveled abroad working on cruise ships, performed with show bands and performed as a solo guitarist.
Mark currently teaches guitar lessons at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
